Whole wheat pretzels

Yesterday we made whole wheat pretzels using this recipe!  The only thing we did differently was to halve the recipe.  They were soft and yummy!  To go along with them for our dinner ~ we tried out a depression era soup recipe.  It made for a wonderful and filling dinner!

I hope you are enjoying a lovely start to the week!

  1. Good Morning Sharon ~

Thank you for sharing! Your pretzels look very nice and I think that the depression era soup sounds like it would be delicious too.

Simple blessings for your day! 🙂

    Hugs ~

  2. Good Morning Terri ~

I made the dough with Bill’s help ~ but I can’t take any credit for the shape ~ Bill and Abbie were my pretzel makers! Some of them did look more like globs of dough too ~ He He! 🙂

I hope you have a great day!

  3. Hi Teri ~

The pretzels were very good with the soup. It was fun trying out both these recipes. We had watched a lady who had lived during the depression make the soup on an online video and so we decided to give it a try!

    Blessings to you today!

  4. Hi Dallas ~

This soup was egg drop soup. I found the link to the video where it was demonstrated being made on Down to Earth. It was interesting to watch!

I hope you are enjoying the weekend!
