Redeeming the time

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,  making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”

Ephesians 5:15-17 (ESV)

It seems like so long since I have last blogged!  My time seems to have gotten away from me in the last couple weeks. Since the days and weeks just seem to fly by ~ I have to ask myself if I am really making the most of my time…accomplishing His purposes…or am I spending my days in busyness.

My husband and I have had some thought inspiring conversations in this regard…I am so thankful to have a husband who encourages and challenges me!  It is so easy to become complacent and I can see why the scriptures exhort us to encourage one another daily.

We have finished our homeschooling for the summer and I think this is a good time to purposefully and prayerfully set my priorities afresh.

May your week be filled with all the good things the Lord has for you to be about!

  1. try to keep the important, first…is not easy….so many things can change things….I have not been blogging quite as much…but when I do…enjoy it very much and I am challenged in my walk from blogs like yours…

  2. Dear Deby ~

Thank you so much for your sweet encouragement today!

It is definitely a challenge to keep the important things first! I have lots of growing to do in this area!

    Have a blessed day!

  3. Hi Sharon ~

Thank you for sharing! I find inspiration in all that you share! I want our home to offer a quiet and gentle atmosphere. One of simplicity and peace. I want it that way for my husband and myself and for those who visit in our home. I love to visit the inspirational websites that so many share but I find that when I spend so much time on them it takes away from my homemaking time which makes for a less organized home.

I have had to limit the amount of sites that I visit to just a few. I have yours and several others that I read regularly. ~ If I have a little extra time I will browse through others. I love getting new ideas and the inspirational blessings that are shared on each of the sites.

Thank you again for all that you share! Your website is such a blessing to me!

    Simple blessings to you!
    Hugs ~

  4. Hi Teri ~

Good evening! Thank you for your words of encouragement ~ it means alot!

I, too, find much inspiration and such wonderful ideas reading blogs ~ but the computer can take up alot of time! It is probably the biggest distraction to my homemaking and since I have the same desires as you for my home ~ it is something I need to guard against.

Thank you for being a blessing to me!
    Sharon
