A “sweet” idea

apple pie and ice cream social 012

Last night we had a couple’s ice cream social at church.  It was a fun event ~ and especially welcome with all this hot weather we have been having!   The church café was decorated with red and white checked tablecloths ~ and there was an “edible” ice cream sundae centerpiece on each table.   I thought they were so cute!  The glasses were filled with malted milk balls, marshmallows and topped with a cherry candy!  It was awhile before I realized that it was just a candy on top and not a real cherry!

This was the first time we have done an event like this and we’re already getting more ideas for next time!  I hope you, too, are enjoying some “sweet” summertime pleasures!

Have a blessed day!

  3. Hi Sharon,
Thank you for sharing the cute picture. Yum! What a nice thing to do for couples – such a celebration of committed love! It’s so nice to hear from you!

  4. What a cute idea….it gets your mind thinking, what else could you come up with to get this kind of real look? I think the tablecloths are just perfect too…..I am so thankful for this cool down, aren’t you? My house has a/c but hubby’s office does not and he would come home so exhausted…
I am not a summer person due to the heat, but sure enjoy the sunshine—and all the fresh produce.
