Feeling Challenged

flower 010

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

Philippians 1:6 (ESV)

I am feeling really challenged in my walk with the Lord lately ~ and what a good thing that is!  He is so faithful to keep working on me!

Oh, how I want to live a life surrendered completely to Him!

This hymn by Frances R. Havergal would make a wonderful prayer ~

Take My Life and Let It Be

Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee.

Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King.
Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from Thee.
Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect, and use every power as Thou shalt choose.

Take my will, and make it Thine; it shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is Thine own; it shall be Thy royal throne.
Take my love, my Lord, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.

Amen!

Praying that He would encourage your heart this week as well!

Blessings to you!

  1. That is one of my favourite hymns, Sharon!

It is great when we feel this pull and we note that we are struggling, because those are all signs that the Lord is working in and on our hearts and that He has lots more to teach … I know I have so much more to learn.

I ask for peace and for patience and He brings me into situations where I have to bow to Him and learn those things through what He teaches me in the midst of those situations!

    Praise His Precious Name!

  2. It’s one of mine too, Dallas! Yes, it is encouraging and exciting to feel that definite pull and drawing and know that he is working in our hearts! It is a very good thing!!

He is so faithful to keep working and changing us! Thank you for sharing today!

    Blessings,
    Sharon
