We tried another tip from my book, “Heloise’s Housekeeping Hints” last night! It is such a treat for us to have real whipped cream on our hot chocolate, but since we don’t usually have it on hand ~ I have been looking forward to giving this tip a try!
“Take a bowl of whipped cream, or any leftover dabs, and drop in mounds on a wax paper-lined cookie sheet and freeze until solid Repack into plastic bags, seal and store in the freezer for future use. Next time you need whipped cream for topping your individual dessert portions . . . place frozen mound on dessert and allow about fifteen minutes for thawing!” ~ Heloise’s Housekeeping Hints ~
I don’t know how often I would use these for desserts but I thought it was the perfect idea for hot chocolate. We tried them out after they were frozen. Using them for hot chocolate ~ we just put one dollop of whip cream into the mug, without thawing, …and it was delicious!♥
It will soon be hot chocolate weather time again ~ one of the simple pleasures of fall! ♥
