Look what came in the mail

Don’t you just love it when a package comes in the mail for you?

I was recently one of the winners in a giveaway at Dallas’ blog ~ Abounding Treasures ~ and these crocheted cloths are what I was blessed to receive!  Aren’t they so pretty?  Dallas does beautiful work!

How inspiring it will be to do dishes with something so pretty!

Thank you, Dallas!

  1. Hi Sharon ~

So very, very pretty! I have the Beginner’s Guide to Crochet and the supplies that I need…but each time I decide to give it a try…I end up with one row and am not quite able to figure out just how to go to the next row. If only Dallas lived closeby and could guide each one of us!

    Sunday Blessings ~
    Teri

  2. Good morning Teri!

Yes ~ wouldn’t it be wonderful if we all lived closeby and could get together! I was just telling Bill that I think that is what I need ~ someone to help me with my crocheting. It would be so helpful to not only just read instructions but to be able to ask specific questions when you get stuck. About 20 years ago I did take a community class on crochet and I was working on the granny squares and it made all the difference to have someone to help you. Unfortunately ~ I didn’t keep up with it having young children and now I don’t really remember too much! 🙂

    Sunday blessings to you!

    Hugs,
    Sharon

  3. Sharon,

Don’t know how I missed this but thanks for all your kind words!!

Because I’m left-handed, it was difficult to learn from books but an elderly Christian woman that I met shortly after I was married took the time to SHOW ME as I held the yarn in my hands and that’s the only way I learned.

My poor daughter wanted me to teach her but she is right-handed and it was just too complicated … impossible for me anyways to understand how to FLIP around what I do so she could understand.

I hope she doesn’t give up and tries again :o)

    Blessings!

  4. Hi Dallas ~

It is such a blessing for me to have received such pretty cloths and such lovely handiwork! It is so nice that you had someone to help you learn. Seeing your work is very inspiring to me to not give up! I hope that your daughter will be able to learn as well. These make such wonderful gifts!

    Thanks again!

    Sweet blessings on your day,
    Sharon
