Thinking of spring

Have you heard the birds singing in the morning yet?  What a sweet joy that is ~ a sign that spring is on it’s way!  It is a rainy day here and not very “springlike” ~ but I know warm sunshiny days are coming and I am definitely ready!  In the meantime ~ some almost spring joys I’m enjoying ~

Making spring cards

A sweet touch of spring received in the mail yesterday ~ flower seeds to plant in the garden from a seed swap organized by Linda at Prairie Flower Farm

More garden ideas

Quick spring cards and an envelope made with pictures from the seed catalog ~ I love the recycling possibilities for all the pretty photos

Signs of spring starting to pop up in the garden

“The flowers appear on the earth;

the time of the singing of birds is come.”

Wishing you all the sweet joys of the coming springtime!

  1. Love Baker Creek! And yes, the birds are singing in the mornings here and the spring peepers are singing at night!

Spring is on the way – regardless of the chill and the rain!

  2. What darling spring greeting cards you created! I especially like the ones with the fabric flowers and buttons!! We are hearing the birds early in the mornings, and it’s music to our ears. =) Love how refreshing it is to see glimpses of new life in spring ~ such a tangible reminder of the new life we have been given as such a beautiful gift from our Creator! I think Psalm 104 is so refreshing to read as spring approaches ~ such beautiful word pictures of His Creation. ♥

Blessings to you and your sweet family~
    Katie

  3. Sharon, those cards are the CUTEST!!!! I especially love the flower shaped ones. I cannot wait for Spring. Of course, we are supposed to get snow tonight. Yuck!

  4. You make the prettiest cards! I am thinking of spring also but making do with the wet and cold 🙂 We have flowers popping up all over so it’s got to be near.

    Have a nice evening,

  7. Thank you, Terri!

We had rain today, but this afternoon it cleared out and wasn’t even too cold when we were out for a walk.

I’m sorry about the snow forecast!

Hope the rest of your week is great! Sounds like you are doing a good job getting ready for your move ~ and the new house looks wonderful!

    Blessings,
    Sharon

  8. That is just the verse I woke up with this morning as I heard for the first time the mourning doves here…so delightful! It is raining now so hopefully the snow will disappear…
