Cast iron goodness

I love my cast iron.  I guess it just has such an old-fashioned feel that makes me happy.

And things baked in it just look pretty…perfect to go from the oven to the table.  These are two things I have really been enjoying baking in my skillet lately ~

These are so easy.  They can be made in such a short amount of time and are very yummy!

This has become a new favorite and it looks so pretty on the dinner table!

Do you have any favorites that you like to cook/bake in your cast iron?

  1. Yum, your food looks so delicious.

I love my cast iron skillets, roasting pan (belonged to my grandmother) and dutch oven. The food tastes so much better when made in them. I replaced my previous pans with cast iron quite a few years back and have never regretted it.

  2. Hi Tania ~ I love that you have cast iron that belonged to your grandmother…such a treasure! I have muffin tins and a pizza pan and I love those too. Cast iron is wonderful! I think a dutch oven may be next on my cast iron list! 🙂

    Have a blessed day!

  3. Pot roast and stew meat sounds yummy too! By the way Pom Pom, we went to the Tulip Festival Street Fair in Mt. Vernon last weekend. It was such a beautiful day. There were tulips in downtown Mt. Vernon, but we didn’t see any in the fields. We went to LaConner too!

    Blessings sweet friend!

  4. I love cast iron cooking. Everything tastes better. I have some that belonged to my mother and some that were my mother-in-laws. They just keep on giving. Enjoy your day and God bless.

  5. I don’t have anything cast iron ~ but I did once eat a delicious Norwegian fish stew, cooked by a friend in one. Food cooked in cast iron tastes extra good, doesn’t it? And there’s a rugged beauty in the results.
Your rolls look fantastic ~ I can smell warm bread from here!
    Blessings, dear Sharon.
